Behind the Name
The name Liberty Speaks carries both personal meaning and professional purpose.
It honors the memory of our beloved labradoodle, Liberty Belle, represented by the pup in our logo, a reminder of loyalty, connection, and heart behind everything we build.
It also reflects Co-Founder Herb Thompson’s lifelong commitment to serving and protecting American liberty as a former Green Beret.
And at its core, the name speaks to the work we do every day. As a brand partnership and speaker agency rooted in communications and public relations, we believe one of our greatest freedoms is the ability to use our voice, to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and continue learning.

Founders Story
Liberty Speaks was founded by Herb and Corrie Thompson, two mission-driven leaders who have spent their careers building, leading, and scaling at the highest levels.
Herb is a retired Green Beret, former U.S. Army Drill Sergeant of the Year, and the only person in Army history to earn both distinctions. A Cornell MBA, award-winning author, and global keynote speaker, he understands what truly moves people and drives performance.
Corrie brings over two decades of experience in brand growth, speaker management, and content strategy, shaping voices, building platforms, and guiding talent into meaningful opportunities with both strategy and precision.
They met through a project and quickly realized a shared belief: the most powerful brands and speakers are built through lived experience, not surface-level storytelling.
That belief became Liberty Speaks.
Today, they partner with brands, event teams, and organizations to connect them with exceptional talent, speakers and creators who don’t just show up, but create real impact. They also work closely with their roster to refine their voice, expand their reach, and build lasting, purpose-driven careers.
