Meet Nick Palmisciano
Entrepreneur | NYT Bestselling Author | Filmmaker | Army Veteran | Speaker | Consultant
Nick Palmisciano has spent most of his adult life making it unnecessarily difficult.
A West Point graduate and former Army infantry officer, Nick went from the military to corporate America before founding Ranger Up, one of the most recognizable veteran-owned brands in the country.
Ranger Up was among the first companies to turn military culture into a true lifestyle brand, helping pave the way for an entire generation of veteran entrepreneurs and creators.
Since then, Nick has built companies, made movies that reached #1 on Amazon, co-written multiple books including a New York Times bestseller, produced hundreds of pieces of original content, worked in five war zones, helped evacuate thousands of people from Afghanistan during the final days of the war, and participated in humanitarian operations around the world.
He’s also a combat sports enthusiast who has spent much of his life becoming remarkably average at Judo, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and MMA. He spent 12 years cornering fighters in Bellator, Strikeforce, and the UFC.
Today, Nick leads Ranger Up and Diesel Jack Media while continuing to work across business, entertainment, publishing, and humanitarian projects.
Ways to Collaborate with Nick

We’re taught to make a plan, minimize risk, become successful, and eventually make life easier. Nick Palmisciano has spent most of his adult life doing the opposite.
Drawing from a career that has taken him from West Point and the Army to entrepreneurship, filmmaking, war zones, humanitarian missions, and buying back the company he founded nearly twenty years earlier, Nick explores why some of life’s greatest opportunities arrive disguised as inconvenience, uncertainty, responsibility, and occasionally terrible ideas.
Funny, fast-moving, and grounded in experience, this keynote challenges audiences to stop optimizing solely for comfort and become capable enough—and willing enough—to recognize opportunity when it doesn’t look anything like the plan.

The plan is usually great right up until reality gets involved.
Nick has led people and organizations across environments where uncertainty isn’t theoretical—from the Army and entrepreneurship to filmmaking, humanitarian operations, and work in conflict zones. Across those experiences, one lesson keeps showing up: leadership matters most when the original plan stops working.
Leadership When the Plan Goes to Hell combines hard-earned lessons, humor, and stories from radically different environments to show leaders how to make decisions with incomplete information, create clarity in uncertainty, and build teams capable of continuing to execute when circumstances change.
Audience Takeaways

Why adaptability is a leadership capability, not an excuse for poor planning
