Meet “CZ” Colón-López

Highest-Ranking Enlisted Leader | Special Operations Veteran | Leadership Authority Born and raised in Puerto Rico

Ramón "CZ" Colón-López served 33 years in the U.S. military, culminating as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC), the highest-ranking enlisted leader in the U.S. military, responsible for advising on matters impacting 2.4 million service members and overseeing leadership at the highest levels of national defense.

From Joint Special Operations missions to the Pentagon, CZ led in environments where leadership was measured by outcomes, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure. Throughout decades of service, he documented lessons from combat, adversity, failure, and senior leadership in thirteen Moleskine notebooks, which became the foundation of his book, Carnivore Leadership.

Today, CZ brings those hard-earned lessons to organizations, conferences, and audiences seeking authentic leadership, resilience, accountability, and high-performance culture. His keynote presentations deliver actionable insights that resonate with corporate leaders, teams, veterans, and emerging professionals alike.

In addition to keynote speaking, CZ partners with brands and organizations through strategic campaigns, media appearances, leadership initiatives, sponsored collaborations, and experiential events that align with purpose, service, resilience, and leadership-driven messaging.

Are you looking for a speaker or strategic partner who can inspire accountability, strengthen leadership culture, and create lasting impact with your audience?

Carnivore Leadership

Taking Charge Instead of Taking Sh!t

If you want to lead in today's world, you have to be a meat-eater.

Take it from someone who knows from having been on the front lines.

Ramón “CZ” Colón-López rose from special ops to become the highest-ranking enlisted military member in the US military. Along the way, he championed “carnivore leadership,” which perfectly encapsulates CZ’s philosophy: emphasizing the need for leaders to be decisively action-oriented rather than waiting for events to unfold—taking initiative.
